This Teacher Resource package has been designed to align with the digital technologies strand and is based around the program "TIMELINE". Package includes: a lesson outline and accompanying notes to assist the teacher.
CONTEXT
This teacher resource package includes a lesson outline that would accompany and follow on from a lesson sequence in regards to sustainability and in particular recycling. Students will have learnt about different types of recycling and possibly the processes accompanying some of these. This particular lesson using TIMELINE is aimed at years Prep-2 (approximately aged 5-8). The use of TIMELINE will turn a somewhat plain representation of information into a more visually appealing piece of work.

- This resource aims at introducing young students to modern technologies through a creative approach.
- It will allow students to take ownership and responsibility of their own ideas and ideally build their confidence when using technology to represent information.
- Give students an opportunity to innovatively and creatively present data using a digital format.
- Students will learn how to manipulate, edit, label and use the basic functions of the TIMELINE program.
